May is going to be a very busy month for me. I’ve registered for the LDStorymakers Conference on the 10th and 11th, which I'm soooo excited about. Besides having reserved a master class on, Plot, Structure, and Pushing your Characters, with the literary agent, Hannah Bowman, I also have a manuscript pitch with Ms. Bowman. Don’t know how I feel about that just yet. Trying to tune it out so I don’t get an ulcer.
Our keynote speaker will be the acclaimed mystery writer Anne Perry! You don’t need to attend the conference to actually hear her speak, either. You may buy a ticket and just come and absorb what she has to say. You won’t regret it.
I’ve also entered the LDStormakers Conference Page “Show Your Love” contest. I can’t really win the top spot in that. I’m bringing my husband with me to Saturday night’s Gala, and I’d have to sit at a table with total strangers. VIPs or not, I would have to leave Mike behind. I don’t think so! But I’d truly love a manuscript critiqued by a professional.
And, and this is a big and… we get to visit our son, Ryan, and daughter-in-law, Kate, who live, like, right down the street from the conference. Isn’t that huge? It's even better than triple chocolate ice cream in the middle of a Yuma summer. I swear!
Life is going to rip by us, yet May can’t get here fast enough.
Click HERE and that will send you to the right place to find out more about the conference. I hope you seriously consider coming. It truly is the place to learn about writing, whether you’re just a beginner, or advanced, or somewhere in between. You will come away with knowing more than you did when you arrived.
