"All Fall Down" by Julie Coulter Bellon, a book review and giveaway

You know what it’s like—having that feeling like someone is watching you, right? You get a creepy sensation up your neck, the kind that leaves goosebumps along your skin. Multiply that times a thousand and that’s how Rafe feels when he walks into his brother’s office building for a simple meeting. He chalks it up to his Navy Seal training and tours in Afghanistan. It couldn’t be anything more than that. Right?

When Claire, a hostage negotiator for the local police department, sees Rafe for the first time, he’s kneeling on the roof of that building with a man standing behind him, wearing a bomb strapped around his chest, and a gun pointed at Rafe’s head. His feelings hadn’t turned out so imaginary.  The only words the expert negotiator can get out of the man is, “Ring around the rosy, a pocket full of posies. Ashes, ashes. We all fall down,” over and over again.

All Fall Down is a fast-paced, heart-pumping, exceeding well-crafted International Thriller written by the talented, and multi-published author, Julie Coulter Bellon. If you can’t read another book this year, I strongly suggest you buy this one and carve out the time. Your adrenaline will help you through to the end.

That little rhyme "ring around the rosy" always makes me think of bubonic plague. I wonder if the plague, or some other kind of very contagious disease, is part of the threat in this thriller? You've made it sound so intriguing!

Completely off topic here: I also had a look at your page "Windows -- 1st book in a sci-fi thriller" page, and that sounded quite intriguing as well! Just thought you might want to know. :-)

Thanks, Melanie. I'm hoping that "Windows" will be intriguing, too. ;D

I can't believe I hadn't noticed this book yet. You know how I love to "read". I've got her other one on CD in the car. My mom gave it to me and I didn't remember ever hearing it yet. So maybe I'll break down and "read" this one (and maybe NOT). These kinds of books are the best to listen to while driving!

Amber: I really want you to read it, too.

Shirley: If you don't win, I sure hope you will buy the book.

Marybelle: this really is a must read!

Wanda: Thank you!

PrimaryMary: My Kindle's battery died, too, while I was reading it. I had to plug myself into an outlet (that sounded funny) to continue reading. Wasn't willing to wait for it to recharge.

Melanie: I got the first page of the second book up, "Window of Time." You might find it interesting, too.

Andrew: aren't we all exceptional--in at least some ways?

Gayle: This is a good time to start reading Julie's books.

Julie: You're very welcome! I can't wait to see who wins.

Kate: If you love fast-paced, then this will be a great read for you.

Lisa G.! I don't know if "All Fall Down" is out on CD. You can always ask "B" to read it to you while you drive around the block for a while. LOL
